Join us for this weekly series into discovering your handpan!


Want to learn the Handpan in a fun and accessible way? If you are new to handpan or rhythm you have come to the right place!


Rahul 'Raja' Bader (aka Raja Rhythmix) has been teaching students of the HANDPAN and WORLD DRUMS for 10+ years. He has performed handpan at such stages as Envision Festival, CoSM, Tulum Art Club, Sonic Springs Festival and many ceremonies and yoga retreats around the world. Raja has taught dozens of sound healers around Canada the fundamentals to drumming, handpan, rhythm, notation and learning world music patterns. His method of teaching allows students of all levels and abilities, to access a new way of deepening their understanding of rhythm on the handpan and using it in ceremonial sound healing.


Lessons take place every Sunday (except the final of the month!) in Trinity Bellwoods park


Lesson rates are as follows:


30$ / class ( group class)


Classes last 60 mins.

About your teacher:

A former world drum teacher at the Sarah McLachlan School of Music and a Masters of Fine Arts (Music) candidate at the School of Contemporary Arts at SFU, Rahul Raja Bader is a qualified teacher and music educator. Raja also partners with Canadian handpan makers 'PeacePans' to offer tailored advice regarding all things handpans: buying your first handpan, tuning, techniques of playing and masterclasses.
