About this Event
Across Dallas/Fort Worth, a new wave of artists, curators, and organizers are redefining where art can live – and who it's for. From living rooms and warehouses to storefronts, studios and nomadic pop-ups, unconventional spaces are carving out room for experimentation, risk, and urgent conversation.
Moderated by Jillian Wendel, founder of Shed Show in Denton, TX, this panel brings together leaders working outside traditional institutional models to discuss why alternative spaces matter now more than ever. What freedoms do these spaces afford? What challenges do they face? And how do they reshape the cultural landscape of North Texas? Panelists include:
Fernando Alvarez (Easyside)
Brent Burnbaum (CHEERLEADER)
Tessa Granowski (Nature of Things)
Ryan Semegran (2 BED 1 BATH)
Join us for an honest conversation about building platforms from the ground up, and what becomes possible when artists create their own rooms.
