The environmental social association ESAlogika and Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals Alumni Association, in collaboration with Esfera Climática and the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative are organizing an expert panel on April 24 at 6:30 p.m. to inform about the 1st International Conference for the Transition Beyond Fossil Fuels (April 24-29, Santa Marta, Colombia).🌍
Spain will be represented at the conference, and Minister Sara Aagesen has confirmed her attendance. However, this conference is relatively unknown to the Spanish public. This panel aims to raise awareness about the importance of this conference and the process it initiates.
The panel will feature Olga Alcaraz Sendra, Guillem Rius Taberner, and Marta Torres Gunfaus, who will share their perspectives on the social, economic, and political possibilities offered by the transition beyond fossil fuels.
The panel will be moderated by Andrea Arnal Martín, coordinator of Esfera Climática, a network of scientific spokespeople on climate change. You can attend in person in room 24.112 of the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals, or virtually via Zoom and YouTube. Links to connect to the Zoom and YouTube live session will be shared on this page before the event.
🌱The 1st International Conference for the Transition Beyond Fossil Fuels is a historic event and if you cannot travel to Santa Marta, the next best thing you can do is learning more about it through this panel. We are looking forward to seeing you and we will welcome all your questions!

La asociación medioambiental ESAlogika y la asociación de antiguos alumnos del Institut Barcelona de Estudis Internacionals, en colaboración con Esfera Climática y el Tratado de No Proliferación de los Combustibles Fósiles, organizan el 24 de abril a las 18:30 un panel de expertos para informar sobre la celebración de la I Conferencia Internacional para la Transición más allá de los Combustibles Fósiles (24-29 abril, Santa Marta, Colombia).🌍
España tendrá representación en la conferencia y la ministra Sara Aagesen ha confirmado que asistirá, sin embargo, para la ciudadanía española esta conferencia es bastante desconocida. Este panel busca concienciar sobre la importancia de esta conferencia y el proceso que inicia.
El panel contará con Olga Alcaraz Sendra, Guillem Rius Taberner y Marta Torres Gunfaus, que intercambiarán sus perspectivas sobre las posibilidades que la transición más allá de los combustibles fósiles ofrece a nivel social, económico y político.
El panel estará moderado por Andrea Arnal Martín, coordinadora de Esfera Climática, una red de portavoces científicas sobre el cambio climático. Se podrá asistir en persona en la sala 24.112 del Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals, y de manera virtual a través de Zoom y Youtube.
