Load them up with your favorite toppings and eat as many as you can. Then visit our pancake tortoises on display!General admission is required.

Pancake tortoises, known for their flattened shell, are IUCN listed as critically endangered. Lewa’s conservation efforts focus around restoring and guarding the rocky habitats they depend on, community engagement, and population monitoring & research. Due to Lewa’s efforts, there are clear signs of population recovery in Kenya.
