About this Event
Palamara is a singer/songwriter based in Denver, Colorado. Anchored in the sounds of folk, country and ambient music, he writes songs about the human condition that are contemplative, cinematic and witty, sometimes all at once. He is an art gallery manager by day, musician by night. Palamara has been direct support in the past for Willie Watson, The Milk Carton Kids and Cale Tyson among others. The music blog Surviving the Golden Age once described his music as "Lambchop or the Magnetic Fields with a country twang."

For years, as a drummer and hired gun, Ben provided an appropriately unhinged rhythmic bed for other’s music. Meanwhile the cross section of his loves - recording, producing, animating, and building began to coalesce into unique projects, installations, and performances. To date, Ben has performed and recorded with The National, Moses Sumney, Beth Orton, Mouse on Mars, Rozi Plain, Serengeti, and WHY?, many of whom appear on his upcoming debut record ‘muted colors’ as a part of an ever expanding constellation of collaborators. Beyond touring, his artistic practice continues to evolve through participation in a variety of Artist Residences; The National’s Homecoming Festival (2018), 37d03d Berlin (2018), and BANFF Arts Center (2020).
Ben currently works as a freelance producer, composing new music and sound design for Emmy Award-winning films, institutions, and brands including The North Face, The Smithsonian, Boars Head, ArtWorks, Cleod9, bombASSbabes, and the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center.
