This visibility seeks to deconstruct systemic invisibility and advocate for social justice by highlighting the often overlooked contributions and struggles of Migrants Community.
Designed to empower the rising voice of migrant workers in Hong Kong through Art by providing a creative platform to challenge patriarchal and societal oppression. Recognizing that Migrants Workers are often silenced and marginalized within both their communities and society at large, the initiative seeks to reclaim their agency, narratives, and artistic expressions as acts of resistance and self-affirmation.
The project comprises eight workshops designed to foster artistic skills and create safe spaces for MDWs to articulate their personal stories and experiences who has finished the training during Jan-May 2026. Led by professional artists and facilitators, these sessions encourage participants to explore diverse mediums, confront stereotypes, and celebrate their identities beyond societal labels. The process affirms their worth and promotes solidarity, emphasizing that their voices matter.
Ultimately, this initiative aims to foster gender equality, affirm their rights, and elevate their stories as vital threads in Hong Kong’s diverse social fabric . This project not only aims to transform individual lives through art but also aspires to initiate broader societal change by bringing these crucial issues to the forefront.
