Feline inspired to paint? In this all-levels art class, students will be guided through whisker-ing their creativity onto the canvas! Our next class is on May 4th at 1:00pm. This month's painting is inspired by one of the most popular free-to-use images released by the Library of Congress: a 1936 photo of a cat dressed up as the valkyrie Brünnhilde from the opera Der Ring des Niebelungen. Brünnhilde | Library of CongressThe instructor introduces the basic techniques and materials however there’s no step-by-step tutorial that must be followed and you will not end up with the same painting as everyone else at the end of class. Instead, students will select their own color palette and create a purr-sonal painting using the instructor’s example as a cat-alyst for creativity! Everyone leaves with an 8”x10” piece that is distinctly their own.
The adoptable kitties at the cafe will be joining you in this 90 minute class to offer some paws-on encouragement. This is a guided, cat-filled and flexible environment that is beginner friendly with all painting supplies provided.
Don't be a scaredy-cat, sign up now and get your paws on that paintbrush!
Minimum age is 7 years old. All kids under 16 must have adult supervision.
