Come for an afternoon of relaxing and fun painting while you enjoy the views and wine tasting at Chemeketa Cellars.
It is not required to have great drawing skills to be able to paint a fabulous painting! You will learn some tips and tricks to create a painting that is uniquely yours. Whether you have previous experience or no experience, you will find painting to be a joyful and relaxing way to express yourself.
In November, we will be painting a snow scene. Students will be able to create a snow scene from images I will provide, and you will learn to incorporate color that reflect from the surroundings into the white snow and shadows. We will explore how light illuminates and glows on the shapes and surfaces of the objects covered in snow depending on the light source.
Materials will be provided. All ages are welcome to explore painting with acrylic on canvas. Come in paint friendly clothes for 3 hours of art instruction and fun. Your finished painting on 11x14 canvas board is yours to keep, frame, and share with family and friends.
** The tasting room is just steps away from the classroom, overlooking the vineyard, and it is open from 12-4 pm on Saturdays. Wine by the glass, beer, cider, non-alcoholic drinks and light bites can be purchased separately in the tasting room. See the full menu here.
