About this Event
Learn to paint with wax alongside local artist and Texas State Board of Educators certified, Shauna Marie Martin. Leave this workshop with two (2) of your very own encaustic works of art on wood!
In this specialty workshop, you’ll be using your own photographs, oil paints and encaustic wax to create beautifully layered compositions! The end result will remind you of the timeless hand-painted photographs of the late 1800's but with a modern twist!
ALL supplies included. Once registered, you will email*** two of your favorite images to Shauna Marie and she will have it printed for you and ready to go for class.
This 3 hour workshop is designed for artists of all levels, even those new to encaustic painting. You will leave this workshop with two (2) of your very own 5”x5” encaustic works of art on wood panels! Ages 14 & up. As a follow-up to the event, you will receive a PDF list of "Getting Started With Encaustic", a full list of items for those that fall in love with this new medium and want to introduce it into their home studio.
