About this Event
"Paint, Petals, and Pours" is a unique interdisciplinary class that combines wine appreciation with visual art creation. Through a guided tasting and painting session, you'll explore the complex aromatic and flavor profiles of wines, with special attention to floral notes, everything from delicate rose and violet to bold orchid and peony. Each tasting pairs wine tasting with hands-on painting inspired by the flowers and sensations evoked by different wines, creating a multisensory learning experience that engages the palate, the senses, and creative expression.
This course celebrates the intersection of taste, sight, and emotion, encouraging students to translate the invisible aromas and subtle flavors of wine into vibrant visual art.
TASTING ART, MAKING ART
Brush in hand, with palette waiting and palate ready, you will translate wine aromas into floral art. A gentle, guided lesson will help you follow the impressions the wine has left behind. Maybe your brushstroke is bold, like the vivid Burgundy, or airy and translucent, like the shimmer of Sauvignon Blanc. There is no wrong direction: the wine will be your muse, the color your guide.
By the end of the evening, you will have created a small work of art that holds the memory of the wines that inspired it, a keepsake of wine and art intertwined.
