About this Event
Our fortnightly events are hosted by either the fantastic Sammy Brough or Shannon Lane, who’ll be guiding you through the techniques of collaging, or creating dream like acrylic on canvas masterpieces – masterpiece status optional, no pressure.
All materials are provided within the booking fee and events are taking place on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at Mercato Metropolitano.
Sammy Brough - Get stuck into the creative expression of collaging
During this two-hour session, Sammy will guide you through the techniques of cutting, sticking and arranging images, letters and textures on a page to capture a moment and tell a story. From gritty punk scenes to flowers and fluffy kittens, you can compose anything you like - which can become posters, zines, album art, murals, visual poetry or even vision boards to help you reach your dream goals!
Shannon Lane - Explore the power of art as a form of escape and self-expression.
During this two-hour session, Shannon will guide you through the process of creating your own dreamlike painting using acrylic paint on canvas. No need to worry about being an expert – the emphasis here is on fun and creativity. Let go of your inhibitions as you experiment with colours, shapes, and textures, and watch as your imagination comes to life on the canvas.
