Join local artist Jenny for a relaxing evening of painting inspired by the beautiful Hillsborough Walled Gardens. Let the tranquil setting inspire you, enjoy a drink with friends and learn to use watercolours to paint spring blooms and botanical shapes.The evening is suitable for everyone including beginners and even those who think "I can't draw!" With some simple tips and tricks, you'll soon be painting flowers and leaves. Jenny will provide you with all the resources you need including paints, brushes and paper as well as gentle instruction, individual guidance and support. All you need to bring is a drink to enjoy!
What to expect:
We will have exclusive access to the beautiful walled gardens where we will spend some time looking carefully at flowers and leaves, taking some photos and making sketches.
Back inside the Bradbury Maker's Shed, Jenny will introduce some basic watercolour techniques to get you started.
She will then guide you to create a final painting inspired by the flowers you have seen.
