About this Event
Paint a Ceramic Fortune Cookie
Celebrate Asian Heritage Month with artist Christopher He in this playful, hands-on ceramic workshop at the Art Gallery of Mississauga! Participants will paint their own bisque-fired ceramic fortune cookie using a vibrant selection of underglazes, perfect for adding a personal message, symbol, or design.
Each registration includes one ceramic fortune cookie, with the option to create an additional piece for $15. After the workshop, all works will be glazed and kiln-fired offsite, then returned to the gallery for pickup at a later date.
About the Artist
Christopher He is a mixed-media artist living in Waterloo. Inspired by personal experience, self-identity, and cultural traditions, He's work explores cultural diversity through playful yet deeply meaningful forms. Having first learned hand-building at a very young age, He balances nostalgia and storytelling in his ceramics, transforming everyday objects into reflections of heritage and identity.
