Come meet Paige Ellen Passantino and Micaela Camacho-Tenreiro live at their Residency Reading event! It’s a fantastic chance to hear the work of two of Poetry's fastest rising stars.
Paige Passantino is an M.F.A. candidate in poetry at Johns Hopkins University, where she teaches creative writing. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Smith College as an Ada Comstock Scholar. She is the recipient of the Academy of American Poets’ Anne Bradstreet Prize, and her work appears in/on Poets.org, The Florida Review, The Mississippi Review, Shō, Folio, and elsewhere. She is a nominee for 2026 Best of the Net, was an honoree in the 2023 Adroit Prizes, and has received support from Tin House. She is currently at work on her debut collection, The Sugar Baby Sonnets.
Micaela Camacho-Tenreiro is a Venezuelan-American poet, dancer, and facilitator. A 2025 CantoMundo fellow and Best of the Net nominee, their work has been published in American Poetry Review, La Revista Bilingüe, and elsewhere; featured by Brooklyn Poets and ONLY POEMS; and commissioned by the Center for Brooklyn History and the Feminist Bird Club of Jersey City. Micaela Camacho-Tenreiro received a 2025 Individual Artist Fellowship award from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and holds a B.A. in Hispanic Studies from Brown University.
