Poet Chandrashekhar Sanekar is today widely known among poetry lovers as a poet, lyricist, and ghazal writer. For over four decades, he has been devoted to poetic creation, and ten of his books have been published so far (by Granthali). Under the title Eka Unhachya Kaifiyat, he has presented nearly forty ghazal recitals in collaboration with composer and singer Mithilesh Patankar.Under the NCPA’s Page to Stage initiative, a special recitation of selected ghazals by Chandrashekhar Sanekar is being organised.
In Some of My Ghazals, Chandrashekhar Sanekar will personally present his own ghazals. The recital is primarily based on his collection Eka Shaharachya Khuntivar, along with a selection of his more recent ghazals. Alongside the recitations, he will also share his reflections and contemplations on the ghazal form, offering audiences an intimate insight into his creative journey.
