About this Event
Performing your own words can be exhilirating but also quite daunting. Should you read your work off the page or memorise and perform it? What's the difference between spoken word and page poetry? Can a poem work on paper and also on the stage or are there features that differentiate the different styles of poetry? And how do you get the confidence to share?
These are some of the questions we'll be considering and demystifying in our new Page to Page session.
Bring a poem that you'd like to share and we'll practise performing as well as offering friendly, supportive feedback to give you the confidence you need to go on to share at Sounds About Write (which follows the session) or at other open mic sessions.
Book a or include it with your purchase. Make sure you select the open mic option if you'd like to perform at Sounds About Write afterwards.
