Welcome to members of Pagans and Mystics of BC, to the Victoria Island branch of Seekers Social. Seekers Social was founded in 2010 by a group of Pagan friends who wanted to create a welcoming environment for all Pagans, Witches, Magicians, and esoteric practioners alike.
Generally it's held once a month, and we meet a local coffee shop to introduce ourselves and chat about various esoteric topics, and Pagan related subjects. Guests are welcome to bring their divination tools and do readings for fun. You may want to leave your crystals, and stones at home though, as they can get lost, or young children might grab those. We ask that everyone would be polite and respectful of one another, and generally treat others as you would like to be treated.
For this event we will be meeting at Caffè Fantasico on Quadra, and sitting at the picnic table out in the park beside the building. Members are welcome to bring their kids, as the facility has a spacious area. You might want to bring iPads, or toys to keep them happy though.
For those interested a few Golden Dawn members are present for those interested in the topic of Western Esotricism, which has a focus on advanced astrology, Tarot, geomancy, talisman creation, Hermeticism, Enochian, and a variety of other university level studies. Freemasons, and esoteric nerds might find their topics of interest. That being said there is a variety of Pagans present as well, and if you're more inclined to join the Pagan party at the other side of the table we have a nice warm seat for you as well. Our coffee social includes all types of magical practioners, which is why it's a multicultural community, of diverse people.
I'm your host, Krystalynne, I've been studying Witchcraft and Western Esotricism since 1998, formally and have been a Witch all my life for 42 years. I enjoy subjects on folklore, anthropology, history, Western Ceremonial Magic, Astrology, Tarot, Geomancy, Enochian, the postmodern movement of neo-Paganism and much more. I come from the Blackberry Witches community, which has a focus on pan-Gaelic Paganism, and another school of training in Greco-Egyptian magic. I'm glad to meet magical practioners of many different backgrounds, and love hearing about everyone's journey's. So please excuse me if I'm a bit friendly, I'm not shy. I'm a Cancer Sun, with a Leo moon, but Libra AC, so you can think of me as a Yin, Yang of fire, and water, that has a good balance of the two.
