Looking for a fun opportunity to explore and paddle the Potomac River?
Well, now's the time to grab your sunglasses and come get your feet wet!
Join Potomac Conservancy for Paddle the Potomac: An Alternative Happy Hour!
Each ticket comes with one boat or paddle board rental and two hours of paddling on the Potomac River.
This event will transform your regular Wednesday night into an unforgettable experience.
Masks are required for when gathered in a group.
Potomac Conservancy acknowledges that this event will be occurring on the traditional territory of the the Nacotchtank (Anacostan) peoples.
We'll bring the fun, you just have to show up!

Where: Key Bridge Boathouse in Georgetown (3500 Water St NW)
When: August 3rd, 6 pm - 8 pm
Cost: $10 for two hours of blissful paddling with a single/double kayak or standup paddle board
Other considerations:
Be sure to arrive by 5:45 PM to sign forms and get out on the water.
This event is appropriate for all skill levels. Beginners and experts are welcome!
Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather (rain or shine) and wear clothes you won't mind getting wet.
In order to reduce waste, we will not be providing cups. Be sure to bring a reusable bottle to fill up before heading out on the water.
One ticket covers the cost for one person.
Directions:
Walk/Bicycle: There are many left turns along M Street that will bring you down to K Street (which turns into Water Street). You can also walk down Wisconsin Ave until you arrive at K St. Turn right on K St (keeping the water to your left) and walk for about 5 mins until you see the boathouse beneath Key Bridge.
From Rosslyn Metro (¾ mile): Walk across Key Bridge and take the stairs on either side down to the C&O Canal. There are footbridges across the Canal that lead to stairs on Water St. Walk back toward the bridge. The boathouse is located directly below Key Bridge.
From Foggy Bottom Metro (1 mile): From the rotary (Washington Circle), head west along Pennsylvania Ave, then turn left onto M Street and continue toward Georgetown. In Georgetown, you’ll have multiple options to turn left to get to K Street. Turn right onto K St and walk toward Key Bridge. The boathouse is located directly below Key Bridge.
Driving: Key Bridge Boathouse is located near the very end of K Street, which turns into Water Street. From Georgetown, follow Wisconsin Ave downhill toward the waterfront, taking a right onto K St/Water St.
Parking is extremely limited, but there is free 3-hour parking across the street, and a parking garage up by the Lowes Movie Theater.
