Paddle Safety Course (3 hours)
Are you ready to use your kayak in and around the Northern Michigan area but want to make sure you're doing it safely? Join us for our Paddle Safety Class! Don't miss this opportunity to become a more confident and responsible kayaker!
Topics will include weather conditions important to paddlers, info on life jackets, prevention of hypothermia, types of kayaks, important paddle and safety equipment, and planning a safe day trip.
Course will be taught by John Chase, a certified ACA instructor, personal trainer, author and speaker. Preregister by May 25 through Eventbrite link. Cost is $17.85 ($15 + $2.85 Eventbrite fee). Minimum of 10 students needed to hold the class.
