Paddle Craft Safety CourseJoin the Susquehanna National Heritage Area for an engaging and informative Paddle Craft Safety Course presented by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. This two-hour, beginner-friendly class will be held at the Columbia Crossing River Trails Center on June 6 at 11 AM.
Developed in cooperation with the American Canoe Association, Paddler’s Guide to Safety is designed as a stand-alone introduction or a helpful supplement to on-the-water experience. This course is ideal for novice paddlers looking to build confidence and gain essential knowledge before heading out on the water.

The class will be led by two certified Auxiliary instructors with paddling experience, who will bring a kayak and safety gear for live demonstrations—giving participants a hands-on look at the equipment that can make all the difference on the water.
