Camping or hiking, foraging or shopping your local Farmer’s Market, a Pack Basket is a sturdy, practical and beautiful piece you will use for years! First time weavers, don’t be daunted by this project! This 2-day class is open to all levels and offers beginners an accessible introduction to basketry. Saturday, students will form the shape of their pack and begin weaving the basket. Rattan will be naturally dyed to offer a range of colors and options for patterning. Sunday will focus on finishing the rim of the pack and attaching the straps. Each student will leave with a finished pack basket, ready for seasonal adventures! No previous experience necessary. Open to students 16 & up.
