PACIFIC COMMUNITY DAYCelebrate the creativity and diversity of Victoria’s Pasifika community with a vibrant day of festivities showcasing Pasifika art, culture and community. From free workshops, talks, and children’s activities to music and performances led by international and local artists, community leaders and curators, as well as a special menu available for purchase, audiences can learn more about and celebrate Pasifika and Torres Strait Islander art in this event for everyone.

ABOUT THE ART OF THE PACIFIC DISPLAY
The Art of the Pacific display brings together a selection of works from the NGV Collection by artists and designers from Polynesia, Micronesia and Melanesia, and their diasporas. Featuring photography, printmaking, painting, sculpture, video, fashion, tapa and lei, the display celebrates the strength and innovation of contemporary creative and cultural practice from the Pacific and Torres Strait Islands.
