Paa Kow kicks off this year's Summer Event Series on the Cornell University Arts Quad!Dubbed "Ghana's most artistic drummer" (Modern Ghana), drummer and composer, Paa Kow, (pronounced Pah-Ko) blends home-grown rhythm and artistry with jazz to create his powerful Afro-Fusion sound. Touring internationally with a custom Ghanaian drum set and his Afro-Fusion Orchestra, Paa Kow brings concert goers an extraordinary musical experience filled with deep grooves and incredible beats.
As a special kick-off to the summer series, free Cornell Dairy ice cream will be offered to the first 400 guests.
Bring a picnic and lawn chairs if you wish. Free and open to the public. Presented by Cornell SCE.
AND to be sure to come early to visit the Johnson Museum of Art, which will be open for extended hours on June 28, from 11AM to 7PM. Explore the galleries, enjoy the warm summer air on the Mallin Sculpture Court under the light installation Cosmos, and stop by the Cox Studio on Floor 2L to make your own art-inspired button. Admission is always free!
