The OzSky "Classic" Star Safari is a unique astronomical observing adventure designed primarily for observers from the northern hemisphere.OzSky is held annually near Coonabarabran, Australia and is hosted by the wonderful volunteers from 3RF Australia (Three Rivers Foundation) a not-for profit educational organisation.
An impressive range of large telescopes including 10", 12", 14", 18", 20" and 25" telescopes are provided for the shared use of all attendees by the wonderful folks at 3RF.
The OzSky Star Safari is further enhanced by a team of dedicated volunteers who generously donate their own time during the OzSky week to help make the OzSky Star Safari a very special and unique event.
Our mission is simple: To share the amazing southern night skies with our northern colleagues in a way that's flexible and easy for all.
In doing so, we hope that you'll enjoy a unique Australian cultural experience, and more importantly an unforgettable opportunity to experience the grandeur of the southern night skies through some wonderful large telescopes, saving you the hassle and expense of transporting your own telescopes from one side of the world to the other.
The OzSky Star Safari has become a very popular premium observing event, and while it is open to all, the numbers are strictly limited to the first 36 registratered observers to ensure the greatest experience for all attending.
