Hello OGRS Members and Friends,The OGRS May 16th, 2026 club meeting is fast approaching. It will be held at Rex and Melanie Easterly's home layout, just east of Springfield.
Start arriving at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May16th. We will have a pizza luncheon, starting at around 1:00 P.M. Members and Guests can bring salads or desserts as appropriate. Anyone who is interested in Garden Railroading will be welcome. However, PLEASE RSVP to Rex directly so they will know how much Pizza to order. We will have Plenty of bottled water, and of course, trains will be running on the layout all afternoon.
As you may know, we will also be having the silent auction for the items donated by the Tom & Mary Abel Lavely family during the event. This auction will be open from the 12:00 arrival time until approximately 2 pm. At that time, the bids will close, and buyers may make their payments for the items. If there are items left after that point, attendees may take what is left, for a small donation to the club. All Items must be removed that day.
This promises to be a great meeting, and we all are looking forward to our first layout open house of the season! See you then!
