About this Event
About Ozan Ardic:
Born in Baku, Ozan Ardic is a concert composer with a background in fortepiano performance. Ozan organizes his compositions into individual opus numbers, each offering a glimpse into his life.
These works provide a purely audible experience, devoid of additional subtext, labels, or extramusical context. By omitting names, titles, or accompanying artwork for his compositions, Ozan aims to let each listener engage with the music on a deeply personal level, free from external influence.
Since 2012, Canada has become Ozan's second home, where he was warmly welcomed. Proud to stand among his fellow Canadians, he has dedicated his debut tour to the country that embraced him. The concert program opens with Tchaikovsky’s The Seasons, a work by one of the most influential composers for Ozan growing up and a fitting musical complement to this program.
