This single-session workshop invites participants to pause and reflect on memories from the past year through a quiet, hands-on activity. It is suitable for a wide range of groups, including community gatherings, family sessions, or retreat settings. The workshop is designed to offer a calm, focused environment where participants can engage at their own pace and find gentle opportunities for reflection and connection.

The session begins with a short guided meditation to help participants centre themselves and bring attention to the past year. Participants are invited to consider moments that were meaningful or significant, capturing these reflections in a simple journaling exercise. The theme of memory is gently woven throughout the session, encouraging personal contemplation and the option for sharing insights in a supportive group setting.

Participants work with natural and easily accessible materials including oyster shells, ribbon, beads, string, napkins, tissue paper, and pens. The techniques explored include simple gluing, decoupage, and attaching decorative elements with string. No prior experience is required. The process is guided step by step, while still allowing participants to add personal touches and interpret the materials in ways that resonate with their own reflections.

By the end of the session, each participant will have created a small collection of oyster shell angels and hanging ornaments. Each piece is unique, carrying individual memories or reflections, and can serve as a meaningful keepsake. Beyond the objects themselves, the session offers a quiet, reflective experience that supports mindful attention and the recognition of personal moments from the year.
