About this Event
This walk includes both some of the famous sights of Oxford and little-known backwaters, and as well as places where we can swim passes others that were among Oxford's many bathing places in the past. It is part of a series of walks for the launch of 'Wild Swimming Walks Thames & West' which are tied together by the themes of literature and access. Just wear whatever you usually wear to walk in and bring whatever you like to swim in (but those who only want to walk not swim are also welcome), and a packed lunch. Meet just outside the main exit from the station building; if coming by car there is free parking at weekends in Ferry Hinsey Road nearby. NB you both walk and swim at your own risk, there is neither qualified supervision nor insurance.
