Join us for a historic moment for our Sikh Langar held at the University of Oxford and Rhodes House. A confirmed ticket is REQUIRED.
Langar is the community kitchen of a gurdwara (Sikh place of worship), which serves meals to all free of charge, regardless of religion, caste, gender, economic status, or ethnicity. People sit on the floor and eat together to represent the building of community, breaking barriers, and highlighting equality.
Date: June 1, 2026
Time: 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM at Rhodes House in JMM Hall
In addition to the Langar meal, there will be stalls of Sikh kirtan singing/musical instruments, and opportunities to try a turban as well as receive your name written in Punjabi.
Limited capacity, so sign up immediately to reserve your spot! Please provide your dietary and accessibility requirements when signing up.
Dress code: Please do not wear shorts/skirts. Shoes will be removed. Everyone will be sitting on the floor so we ask that people dress accordingly. All guests will recieve a headscarf/bandana upon entry so you do not need to bring anything!
