Welcome Home: An Oxford House Story
"Welcome Home: An Oxford House Story " traces the extraordinary evolution of Oxford House, a self-run recovery housing movement founded by Paul Malloy after his own battle with addiction. What began as a desperate decision by 13 men refusing to become homeless has grown into thousands of democratically governed homes across the United States and beyond. Through intimate portraits of residents, mothers reuniting with their children, men stepping off the streets or out of Pr*son, LGBTQ+ members finding acceptance, and longtime alumni who now lead the movement, the film reveals how stable housing, peer accountability, and shared responsibility can transform lives. As Oxford House faces neighborhood resistance, legal battles, and the ongoing stigma of addiction, one simple promise endures: no one has to recover alone
