The Oxford Brookes Science Bazaar is back – bigger, bolder and brighter for 2026!

This FREE family festival is packed with jaw-dropping experiments, creative workshops, hands-on activities and live shows that will amaze curious minds. Whether you love robots, wacky technology, space, explosions, or just getting messy with science, there’s something here for YOU.

Perfect for children aged 5–12 (with plenty to engage parents and older siblings too!).


🎉What’s new in 2026?:
  • ✨ Explore brand-new activities and interactive zones.
  • ✨ More live science shows and demos to make you go “WOW!”
  • ✨ Creative spaces where kids can invent, build and test.
  • ✨ Family-friendly talks and storytelling with a science twist.
  • ✨ A bigger ‘Autism-Friendly, Relaxed Early Opening’ session for families who prefer a quieter, calmer and sensory-considerate environment- this runs from 9:30-11:30am.

The event is held at Oxford Brookes University at our Headington Campus across our Clerici and John Henry Brookes buildings. A map of the campus can be found here.

  • Over 70 hands-on activities led by scientists, students and local organisations.
  • Bookable workshops & live shows.
  • Meet real scientists and ask them all your biggest questions.
  • Discover together - from making, crafting and experimenting to watching, listening and playing!

Whether you want to design, build, race, code or simply explore, the Science Bazaar is a place to let your imagination run wild.
