Own Your Story When Life Changes the Script

A Power of 100 Women Event featuring Christy McDonald

What happens when life suddenly rewrites your plans?

After 27 years in television news, Emmy Award-winning anchor Christy McDonald knew how to command a room and keep composure under pressure. But when her husband received a terminal cancer diagnosis, the carefully curated persona she had built began to shift — and what emerged was something more powerful than perfection: authenticity.

In this candid conversation, Christy shares what it means to stop performing your life and start living it. She explores how the stories we tell ourselves shape how we show up, why resilience grows from vulnerability, and how choosing authenticity can create unexpected ripple effects in our work, relationships, and leadership.

Whether you're navigating unexpected change, feeling stuck between who you were and who you're becoming, or wondering if anyone else feels like they're making it up as they go, you're not alone. And your story, even the chapters you never planned to write, might be exactly what someone else needs to hear.

Join Power of 100 Women for an evening of meaningful conversation, connection, and light refreshments.
