Join NCWF Union County Wildlife Chapter for a night all about owls! We will begin the evening with a presentation on Owls of North Carolina, learning some information about each species and becoming familiar with their calls. Then, we will move outside to the teaching garden to listen for the common owls found in Union County. Participants should be prepared for a night hike: bring flashlights, wear closed toed shoes, and dress for the weather. This program will be led by Breanna Walker, Education Specialist for Union County Soil & Water and President of the Union County Wildlife Chapter. Breanna has been in the field of environmental education for 10 years, teaching in a variety of settings including nature centers, state parks, and schools. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and a Master of Education in Environmental Education, and loves sharing her knowledge and passion for nature with all who will listen.
