In observance of American Artist Appreciation Month, Owen Roger's photography installation will be on display.
Owen Rogers is a versatile creative professional with a strong presence in the art and pop culture communities. He began as a photographer, shooting for publications XXL, BET, Revolt and more; before starting a creative agency. As the co-founder of FOLD Agency, he has expanded his influence across New York, Atlanta, Tokyo, and beyond, offering innovative solutions and creative direction. He has made an impact in the fashion world with this line 88threads, and has produced fashion events at NYFW, ATLFW, Tokyo Fashion Week and Art Basel. Owen has been highlighted in TIME Magazine and was an artist in residence at the Atlanta Fulton County Public Library. Beyond visual arts, Owen is an actor and active in several film communities. Additionally he is active in the emerging technology space as a thought leader in the web3 space and several on chain art collections.
Owen Rogers grew up in New York City and the New York Public Library was a huge influence in his youth. From summer reading to after school programming, the library and the books it housed provided escapism and a window into readers. During his residency at the Fulton County Public Library, Owen paid homage to the role the library has played in his life, by capturing portraits of people with their favorite books. In the months of his residency, Atlanta's musical talent, visual artists, creatives and library regulars dropped in and sat for photos with the books most impactful to them. Drop Everything And Read Atlanta, (D.E.A.R. Atlanta) is a collection of those images and a love letter to reading, books, and inspiration.
