Start Point: Alta Vista Shopping Plaza, 1559 Alta Vista Dr, Ottawa
Where to Find Us: in the parking lot outside of Shoppers Drug Mart
Parking: Parking is available along Alta Vista Drive and in the shopping plaza parking lot.
Routes: 5 & 10 km routes are attached.
Cost: $1 OVO members; $2 Guests, No charge, children ages 16 and under.
Social: Join us for a hot drink at Tim Hortons after the walk
Washrooms: Available at Tim Horton’s at the start/finish point.

Distance: 10 KM - Trail Rating: 1B, All-Season Trail #2
Start/Finish Point: Shoppers Drug Mart, Alta Vista Plaza, 1559 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa, ON
Parking: Alta Vista Plaza (2 hrs.) or street parking along Alta Vista Dr (3 hrs.)
Washrooms: Available at the Tim Hortons beside the start point
CVF Special Programs: Lighthouses, Famous Canadians, Art in Public Places
1. From Shoppers Drug Mart, turn right on Alta Vista Dr to Rolland Ave.
2. Right on Rolland Ave to Neighbourhood Way.
3. Left on Neighbourhood Way, which becomes Coronation Ave to Russell Rd.
4. Cross and turn right on Russell Rd to Smyth Rd.
5. Left on Smyth Rd to St. Laurent Blvd.
6. Left on St. Laurent Blvd to the next light at Bourassa St.
7. Cross St. Laurent and continue straight on Bourassa St to Gladwin Cres. (Washrooms at McDonalds). (4K)
8. Right on Gladwin Cres to Lancaster Rd. Right on Lancaster Rd (The Cape North Lighthouse is on your right). Continue to the lights at St. Laurent Blvd.
9. Cross both St. Laurent Blvd and Smyth Rd. Continue straight on the left-hand side of Smyth Rd.
11. If conditions are slippery - Continue on Smyth Rd to Lynda Lane. Left on Lynda Lane to Pleasant Park Rd.
12. Right on Pleasant Park to Fairbanks Ave. Right on Fairbanks Ave to Faircrest Rd.
13. Left on Faircrest Rd to Alta Vista Dr. Right on Alta Vista for 1 block to Smyth Rd.
14. Cross Smyth and turn right on Smyth for 1 block to Valour Dr. Left on Valour.
16. Is it slippery? Continue on Valour Dr passing the Canadian Forces Health Services on the right and continue to Alta Vista Dr.
17. Right on Alta Vista Dr to Cluny St.
Right on Cluny St to Lennox Park Ave.
18. Left on Lennox Park Ave to Dorion Ave.
Left on Dorion Ave to Alta Vista Dr.
19. Right on Alta Vista Dr and return to the start point. (10.4K)

Shoppers Drug Mart, 1559 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa, ON K1G 0E9 Washrooms are available at the Tim Hortons at the start/finish of the walk.
1. Exit Shoppers Drug Mart to the street.
Right on Alta Vista Dr to Industrial Ave.
2. Sharp right on the paved path at the corner of Alta Vista and Industrial Ave to the corner of Neighbourhood Way and Coronation Ave.
3. Left on Coronation Ave to Chomley Cr.
4. Right to cross Coronation Ave at the pedestrian crossing. Straight on Chomley Cr to the path on the left between houses #1489 & #1495. (The path starts at a driveway).
5. Left on the path to the end (Caverley St, no sign, #1505 across the street).
6. Left on Caverley St to Weyburn St.
Right on Weyburn St to Bathurst Ave.
7. Right on Bathurst Ave to Balena Ave.
Left on Balena Ave to Braydon Ave.
8. Right on Braydon Ave to Avalon Pl. Left
on Avalon Pl to Station Blvd.
9. Cross Station Blvd and keep straight on Acton St to Knox Cres.
10. Right on Knox Cr to Cluny St. Right on Cluny S to Alta Vista Dr.
11. Left on Alta Vista Dr to the Hospital Link Rd.
12. Cross and right on Alta Vista Dr to Balfour Ave. Left on Balfour Ave to Abbey Rd.
13. Right on Abbey Rd to Alta Vista Dr. Left
on Alta Vista Dr to Dale Ave.
14. Left on Dale Ave to Caledon St. Right
on Caledon St to Alta Vista Dr.
15. Right on Alta Vista Dr to the pedestrian crossing at the lights.
16. Cross and turn right on Alta Vista Dr to return to Shoppers Drug Mart.
