Learn to create a piece that looks like you could walk right into it. I will teach you how to use colours and felting techniques that will help you to create depth in a landscape artwork. In this full day workshop you can create a picture with rolling hills/mountains that will be approximately 25 x 60 cm.Bring a photo from you travels from inspiration or have a look through the photo books that I bring along. Creating a long narrow artwork allows you to play with many ideas in small sections creating various stripes of landscape throughout your picture.
This workshop will mainly focus on wet felting but there will be an hour at the end to add needle felted details.
There will be a 45 min break in the middle of the day for lunch. You may bring a packed lunch or order one from the onsite café.
I will bring most of the materials with me, please bring a small hand towel. If you’d like you can bring an apron to protect your clothes from the soapy water, and rubber gloves (for touching hot water) but these are not mandatory.
Possible allergies: We will be using 100% wool and fairy liquid soap. If you are allergic to wool then this is not the class for you. If you are allergic to fairy liquid, please bring gloves.
Workshop will be held in the garden studio at Barnsdale Gardens LE15 8AH. Studio can be accessed through the back gate in the carpark.
Workshop will be 10am-3:30pm either Sunday 19 October or Thursday 20 November
