Join us to hear from artists, educators and community leaders in Amber Valley & Bolsover as we celebrate and collaborate together.
About this Event

Over The Garden Fence is a chance to have a nose and a chat about what others in arts, education and community circles around us are up to around a specific theme. It was born from a desire from colleagues in schools, independent artists and community leaders to hear more about what other people are doing, link up and celebrate all that goes on for our partners.

Curious about what’s happening locally? How to begin, or strengthen, your cultural education offer? Fancy meeting some fellow educators, creatives and community partners and find ways to work together?

Come along to our next ‘Over the Garden Fence’ event on Tuesday 28 April from 4pm-6pm at Alfreton Park Community School, Wingfield Road, Alfreton DE55 7AL

Alfreton Park Community School are excited to showcase their new 6th form block and cafe and the plans for the future.

We are delighted to be joined by 'Blend' youth project who will be sharing details of the services they are offering to local young people within their beautiful space in the Polygon Centre.

As usual we’ll have a creative drop-in activity. Local artist Amy Vallance will be offering a drop in creative session during the event. Amy is currently working on a mural project with children from schools around Ripley.

As always, there will be hearty refreshments for us to share together.
