An odd assortment of characters boards an ocean liner, but no one can remember where they’re headed. The lovers share a secret no one can know; a society lady bristles at having to dine alongside a low-brow charwoman; a young man drinks too much but sees through everything; and the mysterious ship steward seems to be the only crew member.
