Declan O’Donovan’s sound and musical space is reflected by the wild and untouched backdrop of his home in the Yukon Territory. Benjamin Brandes (aka B.W.Brandes) is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist. Songwriting and visual arts (exploring the darker and stranger side of things) have ruled the roost ever since the memory machine kicked in. After a decade of music in Montreal, Vancouver is now home, where the visual world has taken the wheel from the audioscape. Ben and Declan met in Montreal in 2007 somewhere in the shadows of the rabbit hole known as Grumpys Bar. This will be the first time they disturb the silence both together and apart on the same stage. After a two month immersion in the woods of Saturna Island. Declan returns to shore to team up with Brandes for this one night only performance at Outsiders and Others Gallery in downtown Vancouver. The show will take place within the light of a projected film that Ben shot while visiting Declan on the island in Dec, 2024.
