Outlandish d'Amour are a 4-piece band faithfully performing the music of The Police from Eugene, Oregon. The band was formed in 2022 by veteran musicians who are fans of Gordon, Andy, and Stewart who have known each other through the local music scene for years. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses the mojo of the greatest band in the world with Kaisa Forrest’s high energy vocals, faithful drum, guitar, and bass parts. They play all the hits and many deep cuts that will make you want to get up and dance.
Vocalist Kaisa Forrest was born in 1960’s Los Angeles to a family of artists and musicians. As a child she attended the Monterey Pop music festival and traveled to Woodstock with her parents on a converted school bus where they lived for a summer at Bob Dylan’s place. Growing up in dance and musical theatre, she began singing professionally in the early eighties. Kaisa performed with original and cover bands over the years, spanning many genres. She enjoyed a center stage experience for several years during the epic 90’s Seattle scene, and helped launch the all female AC/DC cover band Hell’s Belles. Subsequent projects included writing and producing a solo EP, festival and old-time gathering gigs as one of the Red Rose Girls, and now joyfully singing her heart out with Police cover band Outlandish d'Amour.
Randy Brewer has been a guitar player for most of his life. He has been a fan of The Police since the first time he heard them. Interpreting Andy Summers' masterful guitar parts has been a lovely journey down memory lane and is a real thrill. As a member of the Recording Academy and the Audio Engineering Society, Randy also operates his private studio, Bespoke Recording, and mixes live sound for local acts. Randy has been a contributing member of a number of bands over the years including Outlandish d'Amour, Darling Dimestore Thieves, Amor Fati, Indigaux, Strange Charm, TemperMental, Mélange, and Canyon.
Bassist Michael Anderson has been on the music scene in various guises since he moved to Eugene in 1976. He’s traveled internationally backing artists, as well as playing stylistically diverse music, from Gypsy Swing to Rock to Jazz, Folk, and Rhythm and Blues. He's spent some time working with the great drummer Donny Osbourne (Mel Torme) & guitarist/singer Paul Cotton (Poco), as well as video and radio production and as a session musician on numerous albums by local artists. His experience shows with soulful singing and jazz-influenced guitar and bass riffs. At present he works with Bossanaire, a Brazil 66-style band; participates in Jazz Station events, and has worked with Joanne Broh, Gus Russell & The Livewires, Hot Club Eugene (Gypsy Jazz), studio work, and he continues to explore new musical opportunities.
Drummer Rob Neidig has been performing musically in western Oregon since 1979. He has played in a wide variety of settings and genres, from Country Rock, to Old Time Rock and Roll, to Swing, and Rock and spent 35 years with the premier Oktoberfest band in the Northwest, Z Musikmakers. Rob spent the last 3 seasons playing drums for Radio Redux shows in Eugene. He also plays trombone and has performed for many musical theater and stage performances and holds down the bass trombone spot in the Blue Skies Big Band.
