We are excited to be back riding at Wombat State Forest. A 60 min drive from Melbourne, this is an absolute riding Mecca, just next to the town of Woodend.This is a doubleheader weekend, with gravel racing (or riding) Saturday and the Wombat Classic Shifty Fifty on Sunday.
From this day’s riding, you can expect premium gravel roads, fast + smooth descents, and of course some BIG smiles. Plus you can choose from a 50km or 80km race. While we've called it a race, if you'd rather just ride and have a great day with mates, then you can also come for a social spin.
This route comprises of well-maintained fire trails, gentle gravel and quality gravel. Expect some scrubby bush and fast-rolling flats across the day.
On course, we’ll have a feed and water station set up at the halfway point, but make sure you come loaded with a few bottles, food and spare tubes!
