June 17 - Outdoor Skills Day Camp, 9 am -3 pm, 4-H Family CenterJoin us for a fun and educational 4-H Outdoor Skills Day Camp designed to help youth build confidence, responsibility, and safety awareness while enjoying the outdoors. Campers will rotate through a variety of interactive stations that combine hands-on activities with real-world skills they can use at home and on the trail.
Youth will participate in age-appropriate ATV safety lessons that emphasize proper gear, safe riding practices, and responsible decision-making. These sessions do not include riding ATV’s rather they focus on building foundational knowledge to help keep youth safe around ATVs and other outdoor equipment.
Campers will explore the importance of caring for our natural spaces through engaging Tread Lightly! and Leave No Trace activities. Youth will learn how their actions impact the environment and practice ways to protect trails, wildlife, and outdoor recreation areas.
This event is open to youth in grades 4-8, but older youth are welcome to attend as helpers. We cannot accommodate youth younger than 4th grade. Youth will need to bring a packed lunch. Register: https://z.umn.edu/20264hdaycamps
