----------What are we cooking?----------
We will be making a seafood paella-- a rice dish made with a specially grown Valencian rice, cooked in a saffron broth with chorizo, mussels, shrimp & scallops. It's a beautiful dish to enjoy with friends, especially on a sunny day with a glass of sangria.
----------Class Details----------
This class will meet at Cooper's Dish (1571 Union Lake Rd, Commerce) at 6pm. We will start indoors and then move outside, weather permitting, to cook over a flame. We'll then sit down to enjoy our paella together at an outdoor dining area with live music.
----------Do I need to know how to cook?----------
No!
----------What to bring----------
As we'll be sitting down for dinner around 7:30, consider bringing a sweatshirt.
Feel free to bring wine or other beverages to enjoy with dinner. We will provide an assortment of classic Spanish tapas, as well as a red and a white wine sangria.
----------Weather Cancellation----------
In case of rain, we will still conduct the class under a tent. In case of storms or severe weather, we will reschedule. If rescheduling, you will have the option for refund.
----------Teachers----------
Class will be taught by Cooper's Dish chefs Nisha Farooq & Jake Sasser. Before opening the Cooper's Dish Storefront, Nisha and Jake ran a mobile paella kitchen, serving paella & tapas menus all over metro Detroit!
