Preakness is coming up, and Baltimore Peninsula is thrilled to have an opportunity to support this beloved Baltimore institution; we’re participating in the signature festivities chaired by Maryland First Lady Dawn Moore. On Friday, May 8th, Baltimore Peninsula is hosting a special outdoor screening of Secretariat. This epic movie chronicles the life of the Triple Crown-winning horse who took the racing world by storm, including a record-breaking Preakness win.
Saddle up and come join us on The Lawn for a movie night to remember, complete with food and drinks!
Event begins at 5pm with a special makers market hosted by Stronger Together Collaborative. Shop + support local businesses before the movie starts. Delicious local food and refreshing drinks will also be available for purchase to enjoy before or during the film.
Showtime is at dusk, around 8pm. Admission is free, so bring your friends and family! Bringing a lawn or camping chair is also recommended to enjoy the film.
Movie location is on The Lawn, located beside Rye Street Tavern in Baltimore Peninsula. Garage parking is available in the 250 Mission garage, located at 1 Distillery Street and The Sun surface lot is located at 300 E Cromwell St.
Note: The first two hours of the garage and surface lot parking are free, however you must register your vehicle in order to be eligible. You will be prompted to enter payment information but will not be charged unless your vehicle exceeds the 2 free hours.
Paid street parking is also available throughout the neighborhood.
