Old Man Polly: 6-6:30 pm
Stillhouse Junkies: 6:45-8:30 pm
Never Come Down: 8:45-10:30 pm
For our summer solstice concert and 2nd double headliner evening, we will feature the Stillhouse Junkies and Never Come Down. We hear they are good friends and will be collaborating throughout the evening for an incredible show! Each band brings its own unique style and will have you dancing and boot stompin well into the night!
A crowd-thrilling trio from the hills of Colorado, Stillhouse Junkies share the kind of strangely charmed chemistry that elevates both artist and audience alike. Since forming in 2017, the Durango-bred band has offered up a hypnotic and high-energy form of roots music anchored in the free-flowing interplay among the three lifelong musicians (Fred Kosak on guitar and mandolin, Cody Tinnin on upright bass, Alissa Wolf on fiddle). While they’ve gained major traction in the bluegrass world in recent years—including winning the IBMA Momentum Band of the Year award in 2021—Stillhouse Junkies ultimately inhabit a genre-blurring and subtly inventive sound informed by everything from blues to classical to Texas swing. When matched with their nuanced songcraft and soul-stirring harmonies, the result is a one-of-a-kind musical experience that immediately transports the listener into a more enchanted state of mind.
Weaving together modern and traditional styles of americana and acoustic music, Never Come Down is a Portland, Oregon based 5-piece composed of Joe Suskind (guitar), Crystal Lariza (vocals), Brian Alley (banjo), Kaden Hurst (mandolin), and Ben Ticknor (bass). Their dedication to thoughtful songwriting and dynamic arrangements highlight polished technical skills and a commitment to listening to each other. Formed in 2018, the band began touring extensively- steadily cultivating a passionate fan base at home in the Pacific Northwest, and eventually around the country. NCD released their first studio album “Better Late Than Never” in 2021 and their second LP “Greener Pastures” is slated for release late 2023. They’ve toured internationally and have found acclaim at festivals such as Iceland Airwaves, John Hartford Memorial Fest, Americanafest, FreshGrass and RockyGrass.
Opening our summer solstice concert we thrilled to welcome Old Man Polly! Playing music about life, love, joy and pain, Old Man Polly started playing music in a garage on Moffat street five years ago. With a wide variety in musical influences OMP draws their songs from the artists and musical styles they both love. With little regard for the style, age, or genre OMP draw from both contemporary and traditional music, and are excited to share that music with you.
Food, beer, wine, spirits and our famous margarita's will be available for purchase.
This is a free, outdoor, and family friendly event, so no outside alcohol, no marijuana in the park and dogs must be leashed and waste cleaned up.
