And another one! A tango social with a floor to glide for. An afternoon of dancing at the Barnt Green Quaker meeting house, 2 pm to 5:30 pm (ish). Priced at 10 pounds including tea, coffee and finger food.
To avoid confusion, this is a milonga, not a practica. (A practica is for experimenting with novel dance ideas. A milonga is for social dancing with due consideration of the other dancers on the dance floor). Cabaceo encouraged.
Sorry, there is no alcohol allowed in the Quaker meeting house.
I've booked both rooms in the meeting house, so we'll have the small room to enjoy a cup of tea away from the dance floor in the large room. Children welcome.
Getting There:
Driving, just five minutes drive from the Hopwood junction of the M42. By train, 3 minutes walk from the Birmingham cross city line, Barnt Green station, with regular trains from Birmingham, Redditch, Bromsgrove and elsewhere.

Just next to the park on the corner with Hewell Road, Hewell Road being the main road with Tesco, other shops and various eateries.
Parking on site, but only limited - parking in marked bays and on the cobbles at the front of the meeting house, sorry no parking at the back. Please don't block the drive way, there are residents in the bungalows behind the meeting house who expect easy access to their residences. Further parking higher up Sandhills Road and surrounding streets. Paid parking at the railway station (3 minute walk away), free carpark at the corner of Fiery Hill Road and Bittell Road, including charging station (but it's about a 7 minute walk away).
There are many alternatives for food before and after the event including two gastro pubs, The Victoria, and The Garrity, Cafe Morso, Corks and Crust (Italian), Deedar (Indian, only open after 5pm), Black and Green (Michelin starred, booking only), all less than 5 minutes walk from the venue, and The Barnt Green Inn, and the Red Lion Inn just a four minute drive.
