Deep Soulful House | Afro House | Amapiano
"It’s about the vibe I can provide and the connection to the listener." For Emily Divine, every set is an invitation to experience the 'Divine'—a space where the bass is felt in the chest and the soul is fed by the melody.Emily Divine is a rising dj of the Seattle house scene, since 2024. As co-founder of the monthly residency "Soul & Bass" at the historic Rendezvous, she has quickly moved from curated local gigs to sharing the stage with icons like DJ Shonuph and Julie Herrera. Her sound is a sophisticated blend of heavy, sexy basslines and smooth, soulful vocals, showcasing her commitment to deep intellectual curation. By weaving the rhythmic sounds of Amapiano with the hypnotic pulse of Afro House, Emily creates a deliberate narrative on the dancefloor—proving that the "Divine" experience is as much about the mind as it is about the movement.

Bio:
Emily Song initially found her groove in 1997 by spinning vinyl at underground warehouse parties across the Pacific Northwest. After a few years of playing solo, she teamed up with two other female DJs to form the trio known as the Vixens Of Vinyl. The Vixens gained a reputation for their electrifying 3x6 and b3b sets. Ten years later Emily made the tough decision to shift her focus to her family and pursue a teaching career. After almost two decades away, she made a triumphant return with an all vinyl set in 2023, and since then hasn't looked back. Emily now holds a residency with Viva Recordings, a long running house label in Seattle. Her carefully curated soulful house music is heavily influenced by jazz, disco, funk, soul, deep Afro house, and R&B.
