About this Event
Sprouting curiosity and a love of community, our Children's Garden program teaches K-5th graders the magic of where food comes from! Students plant, tend to, and harvest a variety of fresh vegetables, flowers, and native plants, getting their hands a little green in the process. Every class visits the garden throughout the year to explore, harvest for the school cafeteria, and even have a say in what gets planted next!
Volunteers will be able to W**d, prune, rake, and plant in and around our garden. Bring a favorite tool to use. Portable restrooms are available on-site. We recommend bringing your own bottled water to stay hydrated throughout the day.
Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome as long as you are with a responsible adult. 50-75 volunteers are needed.
Please dress for the weather in closed-toe shoes only. Lunch will be served at noon.
Meet in the school garden in the back of the school, near the playground. Parking in the lot behind the school is best. There may be an athletic event which may cause parking to be limited.
