OSHO Dynamic Meditation is a powerful, active meditation designed to release deeply held physical, emotional, and mental patterns. It helps break conditioning rooted in the past and opens the door to inner freedom, clarity, silence, and peace.
This meditation is traditionally practiced in the early morning, a time when the body and mind are naturally more alert and receptive - when the night has passed and the energy of the day is rising. While it can be practiced alone, doing it in a group setting often supports deeper commitment and intensity, especially for beginners. Though practiced together, the experience is entirely individual - participants are encouraged to remain inwardly focused and unaware of others.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.
The meditation is guided by the original OSHO Dynamic Meditation music, which energetically supports each stage.
What to Expect
Duration: 1 hour
Eyes remain closed throughout (a blindfold is recommended)
This is a meditation of total involvement and deep awareness. Whatever you do, remain alert and witnessing. In the fourth stage, when the body becomes completely still, this awareness reaches its peak.
The Five Stages
Stage 1 – Chaotic Breathing (10 minutes)
Breathe intensely through the nose - deep, fast, and without rhythm. Focus on the exhalation; the body will take care of the inhalation. Let the breath move deeply into the lungs. Become the breathing and allow energy to build.
Stage 2 – Catharsis (10 minutes)
Let go completely. Allow the body to express whatever is present - screaming, crying, laughing, shaking, jumping, dancing. No holding back. No judgment. Move consciously and totally.
Stage 3 – Jumping with Mantra (10 minutes)
With arms raised overhead, jump continuously while chanting “Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!” Each landing on the flat of the feet allows the sound to strike deep into the energy center. Give everything you have and exhaust yourself.
Stage 4 – Stillness (15 minutes)
Stop completely. Freeze wherever you are. Do not move or adjust the body. Remain a silent witness to whatever arises. This is where deep meditation happens.
Stage 5 – Celebration (15 minutes)
Celebrate through music and dance. Express your aliveness and carry this vitality with you into the rest of your day.
A Note from Osho
“Remain a witness. Don’t get lost in what is happening. Breathe as deeply and intensely as possible, bring your total energy to it, yet stay aware - as if you are watching it all happen to someone else. When everything stops and you become completely still, this alertness reaches its peak.”
Regular practice allows the meditation to unfold more deeply over time. With intensity and commitment, transformation can begin sooner than expected.
