About this Event
This training intends to provide instruction on how to protect structures during a wildfire. It will provide hands-on training on structure triage and structure preparation, including installing portable sprinkler systems and protective structure wrap. The class will start with two hours of classroom instruction at the Winston-Dillard fire station and then transition to two separate properties in the Lookingglass area for hands-on activities.

Attire: Wildland PPE
Supplies/Equipment Needed: Engines should have all wildland equipment required by the Oregon Fire Service Mobilization Plan (Mob Plan). Engines will not be required to be staffed per the Mob Plan (i.e. engines may have more than two personnel on a Type 6, or more than three personnel on a Type 3. Etc.), nor will the engine boss qualification be required.
